The hotel is still family-owned and run, sitting on the edge of the lake with views of the Grigne mountains and it closes during winter for a yearly ‘face-lift’, meaning the facilities and amenities are consistently top-notch. A particularly unique feature is the T Beach - where real sand recreates a classic lido, with umbrellas and sunbeds and views of Bellagio. You’ll also find three swimming pools and a clay tennis court, as well as the luxurious T spa.

Surely the biggest draw of the region though is the lake itself, which you can explore from the hotel’s own private boat. There are also three docks on the doorstep of Tremezzo, ensuring considerable ease of access to Lake Como.
